Neighborhood Chairs

Neighborhood chairs represent the 34 neighborhoods in Provo before the city council (see a MAP).
They are elected by majority vote at a neighborhood meeting.

It's at least a 2 year unpaid position.
Their term does NOT automatically expire at the end of 2 years but instead the chairs themselves decide when there will be a reelection
unless 50 households in the neighborhood submit a petition to the council office asking for a reelection. See title 2.29 of the city codebook for more details.

Here are the current neighborhood chairs and when they were elected.
The ones in RED can be reelected or replaced now or in a few weeks since their 2 year term is up.
Please consider serving your neighborhood as a chair!
