Riverside Country Club is located in Provo, Utah, and is home to a beautiful 18-hole golf course designed by William F. Bell, a renowned course designer who has created courses for various PGA, LPGA, and other major tournaments. The club also has a fully-equipped pro shop, which was voted Country Club Retailer-of-the-Year in its first year of operation.
The club was founded in the 1950s by a group of local businessmen known as The Radar Club in Springville, Utah. A few members of this group later proposed the idea of building a country club, and after considering several options, they eventually chose a location along the Provo River for an average price of $900 per acre. The club was officially named Riverside Country Club in 1959, and it officially opened in 1960 with 34 equity members and 16 social members. The clubhouse had its grand opening on May 11, 1960, and the swimming pool opened on July 15 of the same year. The golf course was ready for play in June 1962, marking the start of a longstanding tradition in Utah County.
In 2008, the club's members voted to construct a new clubhouse, pro shop, and pool complex. Construction began in 2010, and all of these new facilities were open by the summer of 2012. The clubhouse features 42,000 square feet of space, including dining areas, wedding reception spaces, private banquet and meeting rooms, and built-in AV equipment. It also has tennis courts, a fitness facility with a massage treatment room and studios for fitness classes, Pilates, and cardio and weight training, as well as luxurious locker rooms. The club's pool complex includes a 25-meter lap pool, 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, a kiddie pool, and a splash pad.
